Newsletter

This website is run for the benefit of the Parish. A weekly newsletter is prepared and distributed at Sunday Mass, included on the website, and mailed to parishioners on the remoter islands.

Finance

In Canon law the parish Priest is the administrator of the parish. Individuals assist the Parish Priest to carry out his duties of good housekeeping and the maintenance of parish records.

Parish Council

The Parish Council consists of members elected at an Annual Parish Meeting. They meet to assist the Parish Priest in the good governance of the parish.

Kirkwall Council of Churches

The parish has friendly relationships with all the other Christian denominations, and we seek to act together in any endeavour that hastens the coming of the kingdom of Christ on earth.
Parishioners attend the meeting of this group, and co-operate with other Christians in Orkney on a wide range of initiatives.

Hospital Patients

are reminded that they must request the services of the priest at the present time. There is no automatic right of access to parishioners in hospital by ministers of religion.
