Anointing of the sick
We understand how distressing it can be when a loved one falls ill and needs the comforting touch of the Anointing of the Sick by a priest. At Our Lady & St. Joseph, we are here to offer support and solace during these challenging times.
Father is dedicated to providing spiritual comfort and healing through the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. Whether your loved one is at home, in the Balfour, a care home or elsewhere, Father will make every effort to be there for them. This sacrament brings the peace of God’s grace, bringing solace to both the patient and their family.
Please feel free to contact Father directly if you would like to arrange for the Anointing of the Sick. His contact details are available on our Contact Us page. Your loved one’s spiritual well-being is our priority, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Unable to attend Mass
If you or a loved one is unable to attend Mass due to injury or illness and wish to receive the Blessed Sacrament, please contact Father to check what arrangements may be possible. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are trained and commissioned to assist the priest at Mass.
In exceptional circumstances, for example, when the priest is not available, these Ministers may take Holy Communion to our sick, housebound and hospitalised parishioners.
